Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MapLark and the MapLark OSM Features API. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Service scope

MapLark provides API access to OpenStreetMap-derived GeoJSON data, account management, and usage monitoring features.

Accounts and API keys

  • You are responsible for activity under your account and API key.
  • You must keep API keys confidential and rotate/revoke compromised keys promptly.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

  • Do not abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • Do not bypass authentication, limits, or security controls.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful activity or to violate third-party rights.

OpenStreetMap attribution and licensing obligations

Data served through MapLark is derived from OpenStreetMap and is subject to OpenStreetMap licensing rules. OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the ODbL 1.0.

You must provide required attribution and comply with ODbL obligations that apply to your distribution or public usage.

Fees and limits

Paid plans, quotas, and rate limits are described on the pricing page and may change over time with reasonable notice.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, performance, and reliability.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapLark is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, abuse, or security risks.
